Lok Satta`s Fourth List of Candidates for LS, State Polls Out
Loksatta Party announced first list of 36 candidates for 2009 Andhra pradesh Assembly elections. Loksatta President Dr Jayaprakash Narayan (JP) announced candidates for 15 seats in Telangana, 17 seats in Coastal Andhra and 4 seats in Rayalaseema region. According to rumours, JP will contest from Kukatpally constituency in Hyderabad city where educated migrants will decide candidate fortunes.
Party will go to polls without any alliance. Loksatta will allot 100 seats for weaker sections to empower them. Loksatta will contest from all the 294 Assembly seats in the 2009 Assembly polls. Loksatta gave importance to education and activity in deciding candidates. Loksatta is the first major party after BJP that announced candidates for the next general elections which will be held in April-May, 2009.

1. L.B.Nagar: Y. Ramarao
2. Seri Lingampally: Katari Srinivasa Rao
3. Kutbullapur: Nandipeta Ravindar
4. Musheerabad: Varasa Rohitkumar
5. Jubilee Hills: G. Pratibha Rao
6. Secunderabad: Akula Maharani
7. Khairatabad: Atluri Subhashini
8. Tungaturti: Puduri Srinivasa Rao
9. Suryapet: K. Rajendar
10. Khammam: Dr. Samineni Raghavulu
11. Wyra: U. Narendar
12. Paler: P. Nageswara Rao
13. Warangal (west): P. Kodandaramarao
14. Chennur: Mekala Saroja
15. Yellareddy: Dr Marri Ramareddy
Rayalaseema:
1. Palamaneru: Mokati Mallikarjuna
2. Madanapalli: Dr Parthasaradhi
3. Rajampet: Jaganmohanraju
4. Anantpur town: Dr Kondeti Kondaiah
Coastal Andhra:
1. Amudalavalasa: Tammineni Annamnaidu
2. Gajapatinagaram: D. Eeswara Rao
3. Vijayanagaram: Bheesetti A Babji
4. Gajuwaka: Biharilal
5. Anakapalli: Garimella Narayana
6. Jaggampeta: Kamineni Jayasree
7. Prattipadu: K. Venkata Satya Prasad
8. Peddapuram: Karanam Venkateswara Rao
9. Undi: G. JanakiRamaraju
10. Pamarru: U. Rajamani
11. Vijayawada (East): K.V. Purna Basaveswara Rao
12. Vijayawada Central: Ghnanamba
13. Penamaluru: Chennupati Vazeer
14. Giddaluru: M. Balaranga Reddy
15. Markapur: Chittam Venkata Reddy
16. Nellore Town: Narra Sridhar
17. Gudur: K. Venkatakrishnaiah.
Despite good intentions, Loksatta may not win even 5 seats due to illiteracy and established vote banks. Party has good leaders but lack of cadre will dent JP’s hopes in the next Assembly elections. Educated voters should vote for Loksatta candidates and so that it can echo our voice in the next Assembly. Intentions are good but chances are slim for Loksatta.
